Paddle with the Platypus tour (3.5-4 hrs)

Leaving from the little town of Forrest, we take you on our dawn or dusk canoe tour to discover Australia’s most elusive animal. Lake Elizabeth is a is a remote mountain lake formed by a landslide and a beautiful place to spend some time searching for the Platypus.

Share some time with our unique 100 million year old egg laying mammal in its natural habitat. This is a surreal experience that you will remember forever.

  • Dawn tours include morning tea.
  • Dusk tours include afternoon tea and a magical glow worm walk in the forest at night.

We donate to platypus disease research in Tasmania and actively participate in research into behaviour, breeding and environmental impact.

The Platypus Package (6-7 hrs)

We transport you from Lorne or Apollo Bay through the Great Otway National Park to view platypus in the wild.

Relax on our fully guided canoe tour, enjoy a hearty meal and see one of the Otway’s spectacular waterfalls.

You can also add on a visit to one of our local berry farms, cafes or wineries.

These tours change throughout the year to take advantage of produce in season.
